Costello Bay Coast Guard Station is based in Ros a Mhíl, Co Galway. We currently have 20 volunteer in the station who are trained to carry out rescues in our designated area.
I have a painting dated 1881 showing a costal scene with a boat with a large 'G' on the sail. A retired sea captain thought the scene was in Galway, but the asst. harbour master in Galway did not seem to support that and suggested Clew Bay. Could someone help our. I can email a photo. Many thanks, John -jforiordan@gmail.com
